Nelse
When I was growing up in a suburb just outside of London, my friend Pete and I would dismantle anything mechanical and attempt to build and use the rendered parts for any project that we worked on. Eventually he had a huge suitcase full of these parts of odds and ends, and it was referred to as Nelse.
Here is a gathering of computer related Nelse - research ideas, hacks and odd documents and notes that I have kept on my computer over the years.
Getting LyX, ADS, astro-ph, and BiBTeX to produce ADS clickable bibliographies in LaTeX files - It's fiddly enough for me to detail the whole mess here.
