Applying for MMTAO Time

Time on the MMT telescope is allocated by the UAO TAC three times a year, and deadlines for proposal submission are scheduled the previous trimester.

The MMT Adaptive Optics (MMTAO) system with MIRAC-BLINC (a mid-infrared imager) and CLIO (a mid-infrared imager) is expected to be available for bright time in Winter 2008 on a *shared-risk* basis to observers.

Proposal forms can be found at http://james.as.arizona.edu/~psmith/proposals/forms.html Everyone needs to get these particular versions; older versions will not do. We do not support non-latex versions.

Useful information about P.I. instruments and required signatures, and some additional information about facility instruments, and information on certification, can be found at the Observer's Web Site.

An AO Guide Star Tool at the Keck AO Web Page is available to help you check to see if there is a guide star near your science target.
